i went through the help files and tried

WinGetText() - returned nothing

ControlGetText() - cant get to work because i dont know the ID

I need to get the text from a window like the one in the picture

Im searching that red square for Green and if it finds it then i want it to take the text and take the words in the white box

and put them into a storage area

are there any other get text type things that might work?

or a way to get the ID of the window?

if it matters the game is "Diablo II:LOD"

your best bet, is an OCR. and let me just say, they are usually rather messy and inaccurate.
