Guest ano_admin Posted September 8, 2004 Share Posted September 8, 2004 I know, I know there is a programm called ping in the outer world to check if someone is awake of my computers, but maybe someone knows a better way to do this :"> I need a little scripting help to check if a computer is awake. I tried it once with a small programm that use the ping command in dos, but this take so much time... argl... If someone can tell me a nice, clean, easy way to check the other computer instantly over AutoIt, that would be great (the things round this aren't the big problem!) Reason: I need to connect to some servers, but sometimes the connection breaks up and the servers are lame too - so I would need to know, if the server is only dumb or the connection is lost aehm...
