Run + Variable

I want to be able to have start.exe be executed with something $var as the switch so what I have is

Run("start.exe /something $var") Which obviously doesn't work since the $var cannot be in the quotes to work, does anybody know how I could make this work?

Run("start.exe /something " & $var)
