lyonrt
Today I was assigned to change the computer names and workgroups of about 123 computers. Note they are not on active directory/group policy. I have been trying to create a script that will ask you what you would like the computer name and workgroup to be - then reboot, but I cant find such parameters. The other catch is that it is on a mixture of XP, 2000, and vista machines? Any Ideas? Anything already out there? Thanks for any advice, Ty
tAKTelapis
Values for these are in the registry. Have it detect the OS then ask for inputs as needed and write those values before a reboot. seems to be the easiest way to get the job done.
