Ok.. Right now i have no code, and i don't know where to start.. but i'll begin..

What i want to do is to create a program that would identify which letter is on each side (there randomly generated.. two letters a-z) on this picture http://www.dragon-soldier.net/captcha.php

Is there a good way to do this, If so, could you please link me what to look up, or help me to start the coding process?
