quotes and double quotes

Recommended Posts

I always seem to have trouble when I want to run a cmd app that has lots of parameters and use quotes from with autoit (or any other language for that matter). For example I want to run the following

convert -density 300 -size 1416x1416 xc:white -fill white -strokewidth 20 -stroke black -draw "circle 708,708 500,40" -strokewidth 5 -draw "roundrectangle 354,930 1062,1250 10,10" -draw "roundrectangle 354,166 1062,300 10,10" -font "Century-Gothic-Bold" -stroke none -pointsize 18 -fill black -draw "text 360,1000 'CD 0001'" -draw "text 360,1100 'Book:235P'" -draw "text 360,1200 'Pages 0023 to 1026'" -draw "text 360,225 'DATE & TIME'" CD_cover.jpg

Is there a good rule of thumb (or even better a script) that I can use to make sure i get the quotes in the right place.

regards iggy

Just as far as "rule of thumb" is concerned, I always use MsgBox() to verify my quotes placement prior to enabling the Run() command for complicated strings.

cheers for the msgbox idea

NP, find myself needing to do it all the time.
