How do you write a special character to a text file. In particular I am not sure how to write the " character to a text file using the FileWriteLine command. Thanks for any help you can provide.

In SciTE you should press Alt-XXXX(numpad) for example, Alt-753 = "±" then you can just say:

FileWrite("test.txt", "±")

EDIT: Is that what you were looking for?

MsgBox(0,"Test",Chr(169))
will display the copyright symbol (©)

See

http://dundats.mvps.org/AutoIt/AutoIt3_Web...endix/ascii.htm

For the list. Start at dec 128

Or

For $I = 128 to 255
   MsgBox(0,"Test",Chr($I), 1)
Next

LOL @me, I should have known that

We all have days like that. I woke up with a numb sensation in the brain cells and it still hasn't changed. :)
