Hello all,

All this while i was just reading the scripts - and to tell you frankly i am addicted to this forum.

I need a small script - i have a folder containing many MS Excel files the script i am looking for should copy the contents of all individual files and paste them in one master excel file

Thanks

Your problem description is vague or nonexistent.

One relatively simple method would be to:

Open DestinationFile

for each xls file:

open w/ excel

Append file contents to DestinationFile

close xls file

Reading the help file before you post... Not only will it make you look smarter, it will make you smarter.

If you want somebody to write it for you, go to Rent-a-Coder in my sig.

If you want to learn to write it yourself, tell us where you are on the project:

Have you coded a loop to search the folder and list the files to operate on?

Have you used the ExeclCOM_UDF from Locodarwin?

Have you ever used COM objects before?

Oddly, i have created a program that does just this for work before.

Make sure you are writing to the next empty cell and not overwriting anything.

The _ExcelCOM UDF Lib. from Locodarwin is DEFINITELY the way to go.
