You could address the email to a service provider that converts it into an SMS. Have a look at www.directsms.com.au who provides both email and sms gateways. I happen to use the email gateway for sms processing which works just fine.Alternately for outbound sms you can always use Skype. Or alternatively write a sms client for an sms gateway.
