I would also like it to not open another page if there is an internet explorer page open already, to just go through that one. Could someone please help?

See _IEAttach and _IENavigate (and possibly _IECreate)

SciTe Debug mode - it's magic: #AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. From Help file:

_IENavigate

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Directs an existing browser window to navigate to the specified URL.

#include <IE.au3>

_IENavigate ( ByRef $o_object, $s_url [, $f_wait = 1] )

Example:

#include <IE.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate ("www.autoitscript.com")
_IELoadWait($oIE)
_IENavigate ($oIE, "http://www.google.com")

_IECreate has a built-in _IELoadWait, it is an optional parameter in the function call. You do not need to call it again.
