Script delay problem with X-Keys and EVE Online

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to develop some time saving macros for use with EVE Online to be activated by an X-Keys Professional keyboard (http://www.xkeys.com/xkeys/xkpro.php). Eve Online uses only the mouse for a lot of in game actions and I'm not that accurate so I want to use keys instead.

I've set up a bunch of little AutoIT scripts that are called by the X-Keys Macroworks driver/application. So it works like this:

1. Press key on X-Keys keyboard

2. Macroworks fires a macro to open an AutoIT script

3. Script runs, moving mouse, sending keys, etc

Now most of the time this works fine but occasionally I'm getting some very long delays before the AutoIT script runs (6-12+ seconds for example).

Is there a possibility that AutoIT takes a long time to activate? Or is it more likely to be the X-Keys Macroworks software getting in a tizzy?

Any thoughts or questions?

P.S. I'm an experienced VB Programmer so don't worry about me understanding any code

Wow.I am looking for this kind of information for a long time。I am wondering if we can get rid of Macroworks 3.1 then directly sethotkey to the keys on X-keys keyboard.People from PIE told me PIE SDK can help me.But it couldn't.

This is my first question. My second question is if we can get rif of AutoIT and use Macroworks 3.1 to do Mouse automation programming.

So, you resurrected a thread 7 years dead, added no value to the conversation, and asked a question that cannot be answered since you did not describe in detail what you're trying to do. Awesome start! ;)

√-1 2^3 ∑ π, and it was delicious!

How to get your question answered on this forum!

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now (there is also a link at bottom right of each page) - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked. :naughty:

See you soon with a legitimate question I hope - and one in which you do not necro-post (you did note that this dates from 7 years ago?). :)
