Searchable Command Line Launcher

Recommended Posts

gseller

I searched all over for one of these and finally found inspiration from CyberZeroCool's "Master SMS Messanger"...

This is a good example script using an ini to pull applications from command line using a search feature. Hope this helps someone.

I use this with exceeds Hummingbird to launch telnet sessions. I would like to find out if anyone knows how I can give focus to the input box on gui open and switch focus over to the search button when user hits enter?

Thanks To All for help here and there.

Here is a sample ini file. all words in the key and value are searchable

Name This file "commands.ini"

Hi there,

You should be able to give focus to the input box and press the button using enter using something like this..

;Give the input focus
GuictrlSetState($searchinput, $GUI_FOCUS);Looks like you've got that part

;as for the default button getting pushed when enter is pressed
;Change your button creation line from this:
;$searchbutton = GUICtrlCreateButton("Search", 224, 8, 89, 25, 0)

;to this:
$searchbutton = GUICtrlCreateButton("Search", 224, 8, 89, 25, $BS_DEFPUSHBUTTON)

I was having the same problem with my scripts for a while until I found about about $BS_DEFPUSHBUTTON, Let me know how it goes?

Thanks!

-John

Cool JSunn, Your suggestion works well. Now However; I have to re-invent the wheel to make this work with the new 3.2.10.0 build. Lots of stuff changed and I was not ready for it... Thanks Again
