i was wondering is there any way to refresh a set of IE windows so that the POST data dialogue doesn't come up

Control R should have done what you have so far described to us. Maybe an F5 would work. Maybe we are missing part of the problem here. Let us know some more details and we would be more than happy to assist you.

Ctrl + R is the hotkey for REFRESH PAGE. So just send that, no box should pop up...

F5 or Ctrl-R does a repeat of the last page, so when that last page had an POST inside, a messagebox will popup saying:

Microsoft Internet Explorer

---------------------------

The page cannot be refreshed without resending the information.

Click Retry to send the information again,

or click Cancel to return to the page that you were trying to view.

---------------------------

Retry  Cancel 

---------------------------
