Chetwood Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 As said in another thread I'm working on automating the use of DVD Shrink. Shrink basically works with 3 windows: 1. main window parent of 2. backup window parent of 3. encoding window Now when the encoding window is active, how can I get the title of the main window? Since my script is done for ppl using several instances of Shrink at once I have to go up from the currently active child window to identify the corresponding parent window. TIA. MHz Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 If using different drives, main window titles might be? "DVD Shrink 3.2 - D:\" "DVD Shrink 3.2 - E:\" "DVD Shrink 3.2 - F:\" "DVD Shrink 3.2 - G:\" and so on.
Chetwood Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 If using different drives, main window titles might be?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>That's exactly the point, I can't know what the main title is except that it starts with 'DVD Shrink 3.2 -'. After all it's entirely up to the user which drive/dir/DVD title he uses. That's why I need a function to read the title from the exact same parent window. Does it exist in AutoIt?
