About Listview and updating the windows in it...

I have a listview in my program that displays windows that fit my criteria. They show fine when they're all open and I open my program after. But if I open my program before I open the windows then they don't show up in the listview. How do I get my script to constantly check for these windows and if some are open then it shows them in the listview?
