Freezing Processes/Threads?

Recommended Posts

alex OF DEATH

Is it possible in autoit? A nudge in the direction of how it's done would also be great.

The reason I need to freeze it is because I have a memory address that basically changes, then gets read from and then changes again. I need to make my script be able to read the address it has, compare it to a seperate variable, then change it if it is the same. (if $address = $datatocomparewith then writememory() )

Autoit isn't fast enough to read the memory, compare it, then write to it if necessary. If I could freeze the process, then I would have as much time as needed to compare/write to the address. Any help is appreciated.

At first I was going to say no since it can't be done through the task manager, but apparently there is a UDF here:

Please use the search function, as this is the second result I found.

Really? I searched but I couldn't find it :P

"+Freeze +Process"

"+freeze +thread"

"Freezing processes"

"+Freezing +Process"

etc, etc.

It's hard to find things sometimes when you don't really know what you are looking for

"Suspend Process"

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
