These pages are spidered by search engines, do you guys seriously think you've helped yourself by posting here?

No, that's not the point of posting here. The point of posting here is making it known that what they're doing is wrong. Besides, the only way this would pop up in a search engine search is if you typed in Gevalum- which means you already know it's there- kinda nullifies the point of advertising, doesn't it?

I would think you would have thought it through a bit being "Administrators" of a site, of what consequences you posting here might have.

I couldn't fathom the time it would take for the moderators/admin/devs to police these forums, not just for AutoIt user violations, but for other product EULA infractions.

Because, the point of posting publicly is to make sure that other people searching for Gevalum here sees that it's being watched. That's the reason this is a public forum- so everyone can see messages. And, I posted here to make sure that anybody else searching for Gevalum scripts is reminded it's illegal.

So I should tally up every silly game out there, read their EULA, keep a record of them, and if someone is in violation of them, do administrative action on them? A rather rediculous statement IMHO.

Someone with have a clue is already cheating using AutoIt or any other programming language, the reason you haven't banned them or caught them, is they know what they are doing.

All in all, I can appreciate you wanting to take care of your investment... Just not here.

BTW, I've found cheats for your game on two other sites, but I have not found one post, defending your product, by you guys on them... So my next question is, what brought you guys here? Do you have an interest in AutoIt?

No. I'm just saying that when I come in here to say, 'hey, that's not allowed', I'm not so sure I should be attacked for that. Not necessarily. We've got good defense against it, and better defense coming soon. It's nothing less than a programming war; right now, we've put up a pretty solid wall. I'm sure it'll be defeated, but that's why we have a nice suite of tools and human moderators.

I apologize if that came out wrong. I'm talking about macroing in my game, I guess I thought that was apparent. Macroing inside of a game that claims to be as macro-free as possible is bad publicity to the owners, because it shows that they're A. lying, or B. incompetent. I have nothing against AutoIt, and I've used it before and think it's a really great product. I'm talking about INSIDE MY GAME.

And, yes, there are other places. I focus here right now because it's such a great product, it's pretty easy to use and there are good forums where people can ask for support and recieve it, usually. This is the main one, in my opinion. I will be watching others as well, I'm not singleing out AutoIt; it's just the biggest and the best, so it's the biggest threat.

You know, going to one thread, and posting a concern is one thing, but repeatedly doing it in every thread that has anything to do with your product (I'm speaking of the other admin today in 3 or 4 topics back to back) is nothing less than spam.

If someone wants to find a cheat for your product, they are going to come across your post regardless, even if it were one post only.

Just as the OP of this thread (I know) has read your other posts on the product in question.

This obviously isn't going to stop them from asking or doing... But you are sure to irritate a few people (that have nothing to do with your product) that actually belong and participate in this forum helping others along the way.

Saying it at all shows that you're C. Naive. Anybody with any sense knows it's impossible to stop cheaters. As has already been said before, it's simply a code war, the goal is to stay ahead of the cheaters so that their cheats don't work for very long. There does not need to be any lines of communication from "our side" to "your side". You are a user on this forum, they are a user on this forum. Neither one of you are significant to us. There are privacy concerns if we start aiding people track down TOS violators. If you can demonstrate that something somebody has posted is a violation of your TOS, contact a moderator. In other words, you must police this forum for violations if you want it policed. You, as a user, state that another user is violating your intellectual property. Going around from thread to thread telling people they are or are trying to violate your TOS is spam, whether it is product spam or just regular spam is irrelevant (to me).

We do NOT keep cheaters in the game. We are not stupid on that... and posting in public chat might discourage others to try and make scripts...by showing them they are being watched...

Yes there does to try and take a movement to stop scripts. I am surprised that Runescape and other sites have not started to have people in forums watching.

Your statement contridicts itself... We are "Policing" the forums and are posting in the forums to discourage others to show we are watching... READ THE OTHER POSTS before you blab your mouth.... this has been explained in the other posts... Also, Spam happenes everywhere... and if it is ireelevant to you... shut up and leave it alone because YOU ALSO posted spam in that statement...
