Hi,

I made a program and now I want people to be able to see and uninstall it in the software list of Windows, just like any other program has. Anyone knows how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

There are a couple different ways to handle it. You could:

  • Create an installation package with a 3rd-party utility that would include uninstall support (two free favorites of mine are Inno Setup and NSIS)
  • If you've written an uninstaller, then you could have your utility installation include appropriate RegWrite() entries within

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" - just be sure that you create, at the very least, the values for "DisplayName" and "UninstallString"
