Pass results

I was wondering if I can use AutoIT to do some stuff, then have it pass information (like a PASS/FAIL value) back to another application?

I have a test application that controls a lot of stuff, but AutoIT can do some things faster and more efficiently. If I can get AutoIT to do its "magic" then pass the results back, it would make all my test stuff work better.

Hello,

please take a look at "Exit" in the help file.

"Exit(10)" would set the dos errorlevel to 10.

Xandl is absolutely right. In addition, you can create test log files that can be harvested by the Testware. For example, Cruise Control can pull in results in XML format. Using the AutoIt XML Wrapper, you could theoretically produce an appropriately formatted file.
