beginners question: my (sample)script doesn't work

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just downloaded autoit v3, and tried the sample script "calculator".

It doesn't work properly: it should open the calculator and then send the numbers:

2, 4, 8, and 16 to the calculator.

It actually opens the calculator, but doesn't send the numbers to the application.

For example scripts " notepad 1&2 " goes the same.

The other scripts (where nothing is sent to an application) work fine.

There is also an autoit icon in the tray that's says: "script paused" while I did nothing

Can someone help me out please...

Thanks in advance

You are using a NON English Windows? Then you will have to change the "Title Text" Autoit is watching for to meet your localized Windows' string.

There is also an autoit icon in the tray that's says: "script paused" while I did nothing

This happens by default when you click the systray icon: Autoit "pauses".
