Logging in to Web Pg Using IE

6 posts in this topic

My limited knowledge is not allowing to get past the following:

#include <IE.au3>

$URL="https://servicing.capitalone.com/c1/login.aspx"

$o_IE = _IECreate ($URL)

;_IELoadWait ($o_IE)

;$oForm = _IEGetObjByName ($o_IE, "user") ;<-- Gives warning of $_IEStatus_NoMatch

;$oForm = _IEGetObjByName ($o_IE, "login") ;<-- Gives warning of $_IEStatus_NoMatch

;loginframe

$oFrame= _IEGetObjByName ($o_IE, "loginframe")

;$oForm = _IEGetObjByName ($oFrame, "user") ;<-- Gives warning of $_IEStatus_NoMatch

;$oForm = _IEGetObjByName ($oFrame, "login") ;<-- Gives warning of $_IEStatus_NoMatch

Any help would be appreciated.

Frank

I'm using Firebug to look at the page, and I see that loginframe is an iframe. I don't know how to dig deeper than that, I can't seem to find the boxes. You might try loading the frame directly, I dunno how well that would work.

Eh, nevermind that. Access denied error.

I guess you could try messing with the iframe object or wait for someone who knows more about DOM than I.

This is a troubling site due to cross-domain security restrictions (the login fram is on a differnt server).

This approach will work you around it:

#include <IE.au3>
_IEErrorHandlerRegister()
$URL="https://servicing.capitalone.com/c1/login.aspx"
$oIE = _IECreate ($URL, 1)

$oFrameTag = _IEGetObjByID($oIE, "loginframe")
_IEAction($oFrameTag, "focus")
Send("{TAB}")
Send("myusername")
Send("{TAB}")
Send("mypassword")
Send("{ENTER}")

Oh that's good then, it wasn't my stupidity that prevented it from working.

Good luck on whatever you figure out.

_IEErrorHandlerRegister will show you an "Access is denied" error when you try to stript the loginframe.
