Calling an exe within compiled code

Recommended Posts

My Autoit code will be compiled into an exe. My autoit code calls an outside executable. Will the outside executable be compiled within my Autoit exe or do I need to insure the executable is available on the same machine where the autoit exe is running?

Thanks

You would need to make sure that it was available on the computers that is going to run the code. Use fileinstall to place the outside exe in the temp folder or somewhere else.

It will if you use FileInstall()

Be sure to make the FileInstall conditional

Question about decompiling code? Read the decompiling FAQ and don't bother posting the question in the forums.
