Look up Exit in the help.

If you run the script in a batch file then the return value of the script can be used like this.

Rem run the program

autoitscript.exe

REM if the script had Exit 5

If errorlevel 5 goto sectionB

etc

Unfortunately I know nothing about php, however I would expect that you can simply have a variable set to the return of the equivalent of RunWait.

In Autoit you could do it like this instead of the DOS method I gave,

$ExitValue = RunWait($AutoItExeFullPath)

So you just need the php equivalent of that perhaps.

A quick search found this which looks relevant.

So you need something like

unset($output)

exec( $command ,&$output, &$return_var )
