hi,

I am trying to understand the meaning of the objcreate command and how to use it in order to pass information between windows applications.

I am trying to open an Excel file: and I want to fill it in with some string values. is there a way to pass parameters / strings to the Excel worksheet using the OBJ commands? Thanks,

$oExcel=ObjCreate ("Excel.Application")

if @error then

Msgbox (0,"ExcelTest","Error Getting an active Excel Object. Error code: " & hex(@error,8))

exit

endif

$oExcel.Visible = 1 ; Let the guy show himself

$oExcel.workbooks.add ; Add a new workbook

$oExcel.worksheets.add ; Add a new worksheet

exit

Download Locodarwin's ExcelCOM_UDF.au3 and poke around in there for many good examples, or just #include that file and use his functions.
