cenarkion
Hi folks, is there a way to copy a folder from one location to another maintaining the custom folder icon that was in place before the copy? At the moment Im using a basic: DirCopy("\\fileserver\setup$\BDD Cleanup Scripts\Desktop Shortcuts\Administration","C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\Administration") This successfully does the copy as required, it unfortunately loses the custom icon that is originally on the folder. I realise that manually setting a folders icon is not difficult, however this script is used in an unattended BDD deployment; hence manual intervention is quite useless. Thanks for your time. Cena. Cena.Folders lose their attributes during a copy / move proceedure. If the desktop.ini file that was in the origional is copied with the folder then it's a matter of setting the folder attributes to ReadOnly and System FileSetAttrib("C:\Folder\", "+RS") Edit: BTW, I should have mentioned that the path to the icon as shown in the desktop.ini file must also be valid. It may not be if you are copying to another system. Edited January 10, 2008 by GEOSoft George Question about decompiling code?
