Control Panel tabs

Ok, here goes.

In the Control Panel, Power Options, the window Power Options Properties comes up. So far, nothing unusual.

But, there are up to 5 tabs, each with a "unique" name. I have searched and searched looking for a way to click on one of the tabs. I need to click on a specific tab (lets say the "Power Meter" tab). Then I need to do some items (set up some things) then move to another tab (another specific name lets use "Advanced").

So, when the Power Options opens, I can get most of what I need but the tabs and tab names.

Please give me a code snippet to help.

Why automate the gui when you can do it command line?

Tried this, but I need to open a SPECIFIC tab (in other words, the name if I can get it). This is just the start of what I want to plan.

Hmmmm. Tried this but got no "reaction". Remember, the app is "powercfg.cpl" since it is a control panel applet.

Not sure what the above is doing, so some explanation is necessary.

I am not sure, but it does NOT give me the tab name nore allow clicking on the tab name. Using "Send ("{CTRLDOWN}{TAB}{CTRLUP}") " goes from each tab, but I seem to "lose control" sometimes - not sure what the actual tab may be since some Windows applets are dynamic depending on process and/or hardware.

Thanks but still not understanding what I need to do.

active power scheme is displayed.
/CREATE, /C Creates a power scheme with the specified name. The new
scheme is created with the properties of the currently
active scheme.
/DELETE, /D Deletes the power scheme with the specified name.
/SETACTIVE, /S Makes the power scheme with the specified name active.
/CHANGE, /X Changes settings of the specified power scheme. Additional
switches specify the changes as follows:

/GLOBALPOWERFLAG, /G {ON|OFF} Turns one of the global power flags on/off.
Valid flags (to be used after "/OPTION ") are:
BATTERYICON: Turns the battery meter icon in the
system tray on/off.
MULTIBATTERY: Turns on/off multiple battery display
in system Power Meter.
RESUMEPASSWORD: Prompt for password on resuming the
system.
WAKEONRING: Turn on/off wake on ring support.
VIDEODIM: Turn on/off support for dimming video
display on battery power.
/AVAILABLESLEEPSTATES, /A Reports the sleep states available on the
system. Attempts to report reasons why sleep states are
unavailable.
/BATTERYALARM, /B {LOW|CRITICAL} Configures the battery alarm. The

The alarm will be activated when the power level

Also not sure if you are aware but

ShellExecute("Control.exe", "powercfg.cpl")

Will open the power config applet

And the send line I gave will allow you to move to the next tab so sending that twice will move you 2 tabs. Since there are only 4 it shouldn't be too difficult to hit the right one(s).
