DaleHohm
AutoIt has a lot of raw tools to allow you to do something like this. What it doesn't have is convenience functions and workflow designed to guide you through a task like that that you will find in tools built specifically for that sort of testing. Things in AutoIt you can use are Win* functions, SEND and ControlSEND, MouseClick etc. plus the _IE* functions for testing in IE. Almost all of AutoIt is geared around automation tools taht would help you in such a project. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead? rodex
Hi Dale, Thank you so much for the your advise. my requirement is to automate the tasks like, login into appliation and select each available menu and enter input(fill test boxes) and evaluate the reslut or error messages. I'm new to AutoIt, would be helpful to me if you can name the availabe AutoIt tools. Thanks
DaleHohm
Your first and most important tool is the helpfile and the examples contained. For what you describe, start by going to the "User Defined Functions", "IE Management" and start with the examples for _IECreate, then the _IEForm* functions.
