Reconize text?

Hello. I would like to know if it would be possible to make a script which would be reconizing text.

i mean, like in chat, somebody would say: How are you today?

and the scrpit would reconize it and answer him like: Yes and you?

Is there a way to do this?

Yes, that should be possible but that depends on which application you want go get the text from, tell us what you want go get the text from and someone should be able to help you
