Two Questions

I'm making a file name generator/ file downloader right now. There are two little details that I can't seem to get around in AutoIt, and I was wondering if there were any suggestions.

1. How to create an unbroken status bar? I've tried different styles, but they don't seem to work (at least not on my XP).

2. How to tell when a checkbox is checked? Until now, I've just had another variable running alongside set to 0 (unchecked) or 1 (checked).
