Why doesn't this work?

If $number = Not ("1" Or "2" Or "3" Or "4") Then
_Reset()
EndIf

Hope you understand what I'm trying to do.. :)

when I use:

if
else

it works, but i have alot of numbers so it would be easier with the NOT..

please help :)

Regards

If $number <> "1" And  $number <> "2" and $number <> "3" Then
If $Number >= 1 AND $Number <= 4 Then
   Reset()
Else
   Do something else
EndIf

Edit: Then there is always the old reliable Switch statement

Switch $Number
   Case 1 To 4
      Reset()
   Case 5, 8, 12
      Do Something Else
   Case Else
      Perform another action
EndSwitch
