Bobby221
I am using a simple GUI interface to run on a KIOSK for users to walk up to, click the respective button and open the buried directory in windows explorer. My issue is that I am using:Case $msg = $Button_Directory1 CloseOpenWins() Run("explorer.exe J:\directory, etc"and it is recognizing the folder as etc instead of directory, etc.I know it would be easier just to rename my directory but that is not a possibility.I am assuming the comma (,) is causing some sort of garbage to happen therefore I think that I need to figure out how to escape the comma. I can't find anything within AUTO IT docs.

This should work: Case $msg = $Button_Directory1 CloseOpenWins() $sPath = FileGetShortName("J:\directory, etc") Run("explorer.exe " & $sPath) P.S. That method tested correctly with a path of: "C:\temp\Test\February 20, 2008" Edited February 20, 2008 by PsaltyDS Valuater's AutoIt 1-2-3, Class... Bobby221
This should work: Case $msg = $Button_Directory1 CloseOpenWins() $sPath = FileGetShortName("J:\directory, etc") Run("explorer.exe " & $sPath) P.S. That method tested correctly with a path of: "C:\temp\Test\February 20, 2008" That worked like a charm. Thanks man, and sorry for the dim question, I just started using AutoIT. Thanks again
