also i have one other request and i dont know how to go about it. i want to make a directory on my website called /updates. and have all the required files in that directory, i then want the script to check the current version and compare it to the version in the directory by reading "build.ver" and if the current version is correct continue, and if not, to read a list called "updates.ver" witch will have the location of all the files that have been updated and it will read each line (maybe liek iniread and have it in ini format [updates] loc1="" loc2="" loc3="" ) but anyways i would greatly appreciate any help with this because i just cant seem to get the file comparison correct, or the list to work right. also not to be picky but it would be nice to have an update window that shows the amount downloaded and the files that still need to be downloaded.

-edit

any help at all would be appriciated

Whats the problem? You can do this two ways.

1. InetGet() + FileRead

2. Possibly:

#include <INet.au3>

_INetGetSource ( $s_URL )

Then use a version comparison function to determine which is newer.
