Windows functions : What is "Text" ?

On many windows functions, there is a "text" parameter:

WinExists ( "title" [, "text"])

text [optional] The text of the window to check.

What does it mean ? In this case, does it mean that WinExists will return "Found" if a windows with the specified title is found AND if the specified text is also found in the window content? Should this "text" be found in any area of the window (label, button,...)?
