I think I found a bug

$uninstall1 = "nomcafee.exe"
FileInstall($ProjectPath & "\" & $uninstall1, $InstDir & "\" & $uninstall1, 1)

; THis works
FileInstall("D:\1111\!AVUNINSTALLERS\mcafee nopd 3.0\nomcafee.exe", $InstDir & "\" & $uninstall1, 1)

It's not a bug. If you read the help file for file install you would have noticed that you CAN NOT use a variable for the source file with FileInstall.

FileInstall is read at compile time where variables are read at run time.

From the help file:

The source path of the file to compile. This must be a literal string; it cannot be a variable.

It's not a bug. If you read the help file for file install you would have noticed that you CAN NOT use a variable for the source file with FileInstall.

FileInstall is read at compile time where variables are read at run time.
