active window

hi, im new to autoit, so i dont know much of the code or how to.

im trying to get the tittle of an active window like if i open a window to get the tittle

here is what i got, but i think im missing something

$title = WinGetTitle("????????") i cant make it yust to grab the title of an active window

MsgBox(0, "Full title read was:", $title)

Have you opened the helpfile?

So try this

$title = WinGetTitle("")
MsgBox(0, "Full title read was:", $title)

ty i opened the help file but i thougt i needed with that command to put a name, cause the help file has that info . thanks
