SciTE and the Tidy add-on

9 posts in this topic

OK, In general, I absolutely adore the Tidy addin...... nothing like it for keeping my code looking good

However....

I just spent a good chunk of time lining up a bunch of comments at the end of lines... all tabed up nice and purdy...

Clicked on Tidy (I had some new code too....)

And tidy went and stripped all the muntiple Tabs before the ;.... reduced em to 1

Aieeeeeeee......

So, my Questions are:

1. is there some kind of config/.ini/options panel for tidy where I could "fix" this behavior

2. If not, is there any way to access the "Source"... is it a macro?....

3. If not either 1 or 2..... anyone know the author?

I think Jos handles most things SciTe. I think the result is all good and well.

1. No there isn't an option currently to leave the tabbing alone for commentblocks.

2. It is an BCX program and the source isn't open/shared.

3. Yes.

You put the tabs before the comment so of course they were liable to be tidied. Try putting them after ';' and then the tabs will get left alone.

Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script.

By the way, you are a little behind on the upgrades.

E Gads!... I was! I had to do some crafty re-writing of the address to download it just now... The location I get by clicking the entry at http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/downloads.shtml comes out as

http://www.autoitscript.com/cgi-bin/getfil...iTE4AutoIt3.exe

My company does NOT like the ?.. part.

So, I tried http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/...iTE4AutoIt3.exe

and it worked :D
