Paulie Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) Visual Basic .net or AutoIT V3?IMHO:Visual Basic.net by FAR- It took me about a week to get a general grasp of basic Autoit functionality.I'm still looking into the "Hello Worlds" of from Visual Basic.Another thing, Autoit is pretty much Stand-alone. with the exception of requiring a windows OS, Autoit has no huge "run-time dependencies" or ".DLL databases" or any of that epic space-wasting stuff that any .net has to come with. newbiescripter Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) If you are completly new I'll advice you to start with Java insted of VB. if you like to write things like fast 3d games in the future, then Java isn't fast enough (yet or maybe it is) but it's really a great an easy to learn language.
