already tested, doesn't work.. it always return white color

I saw that cppman says it "should" be possible, but he's talking about Vista with no code to back it up. If you want to do it in XP, the fact that the last time you started a topic on this is still the same.

I'm not entirely sure if it'd work on Vista. From what people have told me, Vista doesn't repaint the Window unless something in the Window changes - if you drag the window off the screen, it won't need to be repainted. So, I assumed the DC would still be intact in a minimized window. But this is just theory... Edited by cppman
