Winactivate & Vista

4 posts in this topic

I'm curently using AutoIt version v3.2.2.0 on Vista.

The Winactivate function sometime doesn't work. I'm calling the function and the window I'm activating stays in the back. I've found a post talking about this but there is no solution : http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/lofivers...php?t51636.html.

Does anybody know if a newer version of AutoIt fix this or anything else that could help me?

Thx

Considering that is an old version, try upgrading to the latest version. I know that some stuff had been added to newer versions to help support Vista.

To be on the safe side, just rename your current AutoIt directory to something else so that if need be, you can revert back to the old version pretty easy, unless you still have the installers for AutoIt and SciTe.

I remember Jon talking about vista having thumbnail windows with the same title a while back. You'll definately have to update to a newer version of AutoIt to take care of the issue.

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
