how to scan file in a directory

Scan what ?

if you wan to know how many files in a folder , look _DirGet()

life

basically i wanna scan all file in the directory that the script is in and output in on a file.. which

1 containing the filename

2 the directory start from the script location

3 and the file size..

im making a patcher.. thx for the hint..

look FileOpen(), FileWriteLine(),FileClose()

thx.. btw.. is there a manual that i can refer to that list all function or library or UDF or what ever we call it beside here http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/functions.htm

what i mean is the one that is in the include file in autoit folder.. kinda hard to open 1 by 1 and look for a function

I'm afraid not, you have to do it step by step, until some1 make a UDF for that

Your help and UDFHelp files are in your AutoIt main directory. Those cover 99% of any questions us newbies have :)

Don't feel bad; It took me a few months to start using them. You'll definitely find things a helluva lot easier, using the help files, though.
