I have a variable that's and address of a file on my pc e.g. $a="D:\My Documents\WoWScreenshots" I want to go one directory up so i have to delete the second slash including everything to the right. It no worky @OP, _PathSplit can help you here, StringLeft + StringInStr can help you here as well as StringRegExpReplace Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt...
