how to script

I am new to autiit and i want to know how to script i don know how to read the language i have downloaded autoit 1 2 3.. from a fourm it wasnt much help at all if anyne has any advice please tell me....Thank-You :)

See if that link helps you, it's the closest to a newbie guide as you'll get here.

In my experiences here, answering as many posts as I have, the easiest way to start coding, is to have a general idea of what you would like to accomplish.

After you finish that first task, the next comes a bit easier with the retention you gained from the previous ones.

If you don't have a specific goal in mind... stop... find one... then come back :P .


Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

There is a tutorial with the help file that came with AutoIt.

It has some tutorials that cover some basics.
