Cell width in Excel

Recommended Posts

I use Office 2007, and in Excel, when I resize a cell's width, it tells me the width it has in their measurement units (I got used to call them wu (width units)), and also in pixels (I don't know if it's a new function, or it was in 03 as well, that's why I specified my version).

Now, I noticed that 10wu = 75 pixels. What do you think about 100 wu? 750 pixels? Wrong! 705. Am I too stupid, or their measurement is not growing linear? If I make a graphic with various cell sizes, will I end up in an exponential scale? This means that if I'll make a really big cell, when I'll move my mouse a little bit on it's pad, my cell will grow million times ?

What do think? Isn't this a little strange?
