Can use some info about ORC.

I talked to some random guy in a chat room according to him there’s some kind of autoit script that can read text from an image called an orc. I did a search and I gathered some info but I’m still confused/like more info.

But I don’t have MS Office 2003/2007.

That topic is fairly old is there some other ORC script/way that doesn’t require Ms office?

*Or a way around not having to get/download Ms office?

I just need it to read clear (not distorted) black text on a light colored background.
