How to get results from RSOP

9 posts in this topic

I was looking to find a way to get all policy settings from a server.

There was a step over gpedit .. next secpol .. and then i found a vbs-script.

OK - i need to install the gpmc console from MS first, but this was ok.

The script was running and gives me "nearly" all settings back.

"Nearly" 'cause some local settings where missing. Have a look here : #547640

The next step was to bring the script out to the server and start it ... it won't :(

Why? 'Cause i call a VBS-script with "wscript" and the security settings kickn me out muttley

So i'm running again thru the forum and find some helpful hints from PsaltyDS (thanks!) how to translate a vbs-script to AutoIt.

And the result is following:

To get the policies from a local server you have to install the gpmc.msi from MS (here --> GPMS.msi

Then you can create a html-file with little code (see Create-RSOP-HTML.au3)

If you're missing some settings then have a look to the link above and use secedit to get them.

Maybe this is helpful for someone :)
