problem with starting application

Hi Everybody,

I've been trying to start 3DMark Vantage using one of the ways below:

ShellExecute("C:\Program Files\Futuremark\3DMark Vantage\3DMarkVantage.exe")
or

Run("3DMarkVantage.exe", "C:\Program Files\Futuremark\3DMark Vantage")
or

Run(@ComSpec & ' /c start "" "C:\Program Files\Futuremark\3DMark Vantage\3DMarkVantage.exe"')

They all work but software doesn't start how it supposed to; everytime I run one of these lines 3DMark starts but gives me a message "GUI starting - wait" without showing main menu and any progress overtime which means I cannot execute rest of my script.

When I simply click on 3DMark icon or launch it form START menu everything works fine and 3DMark displays main manu right away. Looked up icon properties - there is no additional paramenters to EXE file.

I would prefer to avoid MouseClick etc. due to different resolutions of screen.

What command can I use to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

ayr

Seems a little odd, have you had a look at starting the program with different modes?

e.g

@SW_SHOW
@SW_HIDE
@SW_ENABLE
@SW_SHOWDEFAULT
@SW_SHOWNORMAL

more in the help file

Perhaps they use a command line switch in their shortcuts? Or can you run the .exe by itself directly from windows, by clicking it?

I figured it out... adding working directory to RUN command solves my problem.

Run(@ComSpec & ' /c start "" "C:\Program Files\Futuremark\3DMark Vantage\3DMarkVantage.exe"', "C:\Program Files\Futuremark\3DMark Vantage")

thanks,

ayr
