Is it possible to search the memory of a game or program, with autoit?

I know, but you can't search for a value, and find the pointers, right?

you can search for a value if you just put the reads in a loop. To find a pointer you would just be searching for an address, or a range of addresses that can equal the actual address with an offset.

The problem I am running into right now though is finding the start and end addresses of a process so that we do not have to search all of the memory when we really just need to search the one process.
