well, I used to work with a script that open a certain URL in IE, then it tabs until the link that i wanted and then just press enter...

but I think it not working anymore on Vista...

if I just try the code:

#include <IE.au3>

$page = _IECreate("http://www.URL.com")

MsgBox(0, "a", "opened")

it opens the page but does not give me the msg when it finishes...

anyone know why?

any update I should do?

im running AutoIt3.2

With the most up to date Autoit.exe it should work but are you running it without #RequireAdmin? Because if you are then your opening another window with that window and the program stays running because it has no chance to end.

Just add #RequireAdmin to it then tell us if it work

Change:

#include <IE.au3>
$page = _IECreate("http://www.URL.com")
MsgBox(0, "a", "opened")

with :

#include <IE.au3>
$page = _IECreate("http://www.URL.com")
_IELoadWait($page)

Please try TerarinKerowyn's suggestion (and read the remarks for _IECreate that document this for Vista).

@Andreik - there is no way your suggestion helps -- and in any case, _IECreate calls _IELoadWait for you unless you turn it off.
