Decker87 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I am wondering if AutoIT has any plans for the ability to create classes like C++. A class is essentially a set of functions and data that does all its own calculations and manipulations internally.
Richard Robertson Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 We are programmers; we know what classes are. The short answer is no.
herewasplato Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 We are programmers; we know what classes are.The short answer is no.Hmmm, I wonder what percentage of forums members are programmers?I'm not a programmer and I do not know what a class is......However, I've been told that I ain't got no class :-) ..

BrettF Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 If we didn't know, then we would have used google, or let someone else answer... Herewasplato... you got class... Lots of it! herewasplato Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 If we didn't know, then we would have used google, or let someone else answer...Herewasplato... you got class... Lots of it!:-)I GoogledC++. A class (just a copy/paste from the OP)(knowing that Google would ignore the period and the "A")I got back 25+ million returnsI added "tutorial", which knocked it down to a more manageable quarter million :-)I skimmed thru a few tuts and I would need:A bit more basic infoA better vocabulary baseAnd most important - a desire/need to know that stuffTo even understand the tuts :-)I definately fall into that "let someone else answer" catagory for this thread - but I stuck my nose in anyway.@Richard,I really had been wondering about that percentage question. No way to know the answer though. ..
Richard Robertson Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Well, I would assume that since this is a forum for programmers, that members would be programmers.
BrettF Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 But what type of language(s) they know will make the difference... If they only know AutoIt, the only class they will probably know is AutoIt 1-2-3....
