InetGet and @InetGetActive

3 posts in this topic

I have the following code below to download a file from the internet. However, during an active download, the beep() function never gets called. I'm running v3.2.12.1. Any thoughts?

CODE
$rc = InetGet("http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/pattern/lpt449.zip", "C:\Temp\tmp.zip")

If $rc = 0 Then Msgbox(0, "", "Error")

While @InetGetActive

Beep()

Sleep(100)

Wend

Thanks for your code suggestion. Unfortunately, replacing While @InetGetActive with While $Rc <> 0 results in an endless loop because $rc=1 after a successful download.

I found the solution to be setting the InetGet background flag to 1, which allows the InetGet function to return immediatly. The corrected code is:

CODE
$rc = InetGet("http://826.netfirms.com/bicycle.jpg", "E:\Temp\t.jpg", 0, 1)

If $rc = 0 Then Msgbox(0, "", "Error")

While @InetGetActive

beep()

Sleep(100)

Wend
